Enjoy delicious treats on rue Lepic, rue des Martyrs, rue Caulaincourt… and also with fabrics near Anvers Station and the Saint-Pierre market, and even musical instruments on rue de Douai and rue Victor-Massé. Lunch or dinner can be at Bouillon Pigalle to taste some traditional French bistrot dishes. At the foot of Montmartre Hill, welcome to one of the new trendiest spots of Paris : Pigalle and more precisely its south part, now known as ‘SoPi’ (for South Pigalle). This former red-light district, surrounded by sex shops, cabarets and hostess clubs, has undergone big changes to become the epitome of Parisian hip style and one of the liveliest in the city of Lights, thanks to several new fashion designer boutiques, trendy restaurants and classy clubs and cocktail bars.

THE BASILIQUE DU SACRÉ-CŒUR

Consecrated in 1919, the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur is one of the City of Light's most emblematic monuments, and the 2nd most visited. Situated at the top of the Montmartre hill, at an altitude of 130 metres, its ascent offers one of the finest views of the capital. Built in the Romanesque-Byzantine style, the basilica is recognizable by its white exterior. Inside, the ceiling boasts the largest mosaic in France, measuring 480 m². And to get a little higher, visitors can climb up to the dome, where the 360° panoramic view of Paris is unique and splendid.

PICTURESQUE DESTINATION
