A 4-stars hotel close to Montmartre
Pigalle - Montmartre - Gare du Nord
A charming rococo wonder in a dynamic district.
The Villa Royale surrounds one of the most legendary squares in Paris, Place Pigalle, the heart and soul of a district that’s both touristy and trendy. Because of the shape of the building, most of the rooms have a view on Montmartre and Sacré-Coeur.
In their time, Toulouse-Lautrec and Picasso frequented the establishment. The décor takes its inspiration from the world of the theatre. Details are numerous and the rococo style is clearly evident. Deep reds, tassels and tufted velvets are omnipresent, as is the decorative gilding, which even surrounds the plasma TV screens.
In the Suites, a fireplace adds to the cosy atmosphere and a whirlpool bath invites guests to let laziness take over. Another option: fall asleep below the star-studded ceiling of the de la “Michou” room, blue, of course.

It’s clear that there would be no Paris without the Pigalle and Montmartre districts. Without a doubt, these emblematic districts near the Gare du Nord are the capital city’s most famous. And yet, they contain many a secret! The colourful, cosmopolitan and bustling atmosphere of the Barbès, Pigalle and Montmartre districts is legendary. Working-class Paris, immortalized in Hôtel du Nord, really exists. But below the elevated sections of the metro, another world is revealed, a world unto itself offering its boutiques selling everything and nothing, its exotic grocery shops and its incredible bazaars.
